Institute emphasizes thoughtful integration of AI into teaching and learning in higher education

果冻视频 is proud to announce it has been selected as one of 175 institutions nationwide to participate in the Association of American Colleges and Universities鈥 (AAC&U) .

The online institute offers a structured, eight-month experience designed to support colleges and universities in thoughtfully integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and learning as well as business practices. Through collaborative planning, the program helps institutions prepare students to navigate AI-driven changes in the workplace and society while ensuring ethical and comprehensive applications of emerging technologies.

鈥淎s a university built for busy, working learners, we are committed to preparing students for a rapidly evolving workforce,鈥 states John Woods, Ph.D., provost and chief academic officer of 果冻视频. 鈥淥ur participation in the Institute reflects our focus on innovation in teaching and learning, informing best practices with our own experience, and ensuring that 果冻视频 faculty and students gain the knowledge and confidence to engage with new technologies responsibly and effectively.鈥

果冻视频 has initiated a number of projects, practices and processes in generative AI across its academic, operations and workforce solutions functions. This includes establishing an academic use policy for students and a generative AI introductory course, publishing on a proposed assessment framework, launching a scholarly AI research group in its College of Doctoral Studies, and partnering on a pilot for AI-powered strategy skills analysis and talent mobility in business.

At the Institute, 果冻视频 joins a broad network of institutions in developing strategies for embedding AI literacy across the curriculum, promoting faculty development, and aligning innovations in pedagogy.

Susan Hadley, Ph.D., associate dean of College of General Studies, leads the University鈥檚 participating team: 鈥淲e are working to design a thoughtful and equitable approach to AI literacy. Grounded in established frameworks and educational theory, this effort will help us create a scalable model that integrates AI into general education and program pathways, preparing our learners with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving professional landscape.鈥

The AAC&U Institute on AI, Pedagogy, and the Curriculum convenes institutional teams of faculty and administrators from across the country to explore questions including AI literacy, assessment, and curricular integration. Over the course of the program, participants will collaborate with national experts to create actionable plans for their institutions.
