The competency-based track can be completed in under a year when you transfer in 87 credits, is less structured and is completed and is self-paced. It also requires a year鈥檚 experience as an RN before admission. The standard RN to BSN degree track has a longer duration of 14 months when you transfer in 87 credits, doesn鈥檛 have an experience requirement, is more structured and is led by instructors with weekly due dates. Our standard track RN to BSN online degree program length is as little as 14 months for students who transfer in an associate degree in nursing (ADN). RNs without an ADN transfer will be awarded 40 transfer credits, for an average program length of about 2.5 years.
The competency-based program is ideal if you prefer to work independently and want control of how fast or slow you complete your courses. You鈥檒l leverage your years of professional knowledge and skills to learn in a flexible environment where you control the pace within every 16-week period. You get faculty guidance when you need it, while you consume learning content faster and around your schedule 鈥 all while saving valuable time and money.
The standard RN to BSN lets you complete your degree at a steady, predictable pace with set due dates and class discussions guided by an instructor. This program is ideal if you prefer the flexibility to take courses one at a time and want to collaborate with peers and instructors. You can transfer up to 87 credits from a participating community college. The more credits you transfer, the fewer you鈥檒l need to complete your RN to BSN online program. Associate Transfer Tuition Rate听
果冻视频 (鈥淯niversity鈥) will offer students who have been conferred an associate degree from a college or university with approved institutional accreditation (hereinafter collectively 鈥淓ligible Students鈥) the Associate Transfer Tuition Rate as set forth in the University鈥檚 Academic Catalog toward undergraduate coursework. The Associate Transfer Tuition Rate shall not be combined with, nor shall it apply to any other University promotions, scholarships or tuition reduction offers.
Concurrent Enrollment Program Benefits听
To be eligible for the following听 benefit as part of a nursing CEP cohort, there must be an agreement in place between a community college and the University that sets forth a Concurrent Enrollment Program that allows for the Eligible Students to take up to four upper-division courses during semester breaks while completing an associate鈥檚 degree. Eligible students will receive the University鈥檚 Associate Transfer tuition rate, which is a discount of $48 per credit hour off of the University鈥檚 standard tuition rate for courses in their bachelor's program. Students in this category will be given a guarantee of these tuition rates until their program completion deadline, unless they change programs or program versions. Eligible students will not be admitted into a University nursing degree program while concurrent enroll in their community college while completing their Associate鈥檚 degree program. Students will not be eligible for federal financial aid and will be obligated to pay all University tuition fees and costs with cash (or the equivalent) in accordance with federal laws and regulations.听 Students will not be eligible for federal financial aid with the University unless or until they are admitted to a University degree program that is eligible for federal financial aid.
If for any reason the CEP Cohort is terminated, a student will no longer be eligible for the Benefit provided and if they desire to continue, they will be responsible for all tuition, fees, and costs at the then current tuition rates as set forth by the University.听
Community College Benefit 5+1听
The University will offer the following benefit to students who are legally residing in the U.S., have attended an alliance community college and who enroll in a bachelor's or master's online degree program, certificate program, concurrent enrollment program or credit-bearing course with the University.
The University will waive the tuition of every 6th course for eligible students from alliance community colleges who enroll in a bachelor's or master鈥檚 online program, certificate program, concurrent enrollment program or credit-bearing course at the University, and complete 5 courses after the Effective Date as outlined below. This benefit cannot be combined with any other University offer or promotion, excludes competency-based programs the University may offer (e.g. MBA-CB) and will not be applied retroactively. Eligible students are subject to the University鈥檚 admission, tuition and academic policies and procedures.鈥
The University will waive the tuition of every sixth (6th) course for eligible students who meet the following criteria:鈥
鈥(i) Identify themselves to University as a current or previous student at an alliance community college.
(ii) Enroll into a University bachelor's or master's online degree program, certificate program, concurrent enrollment program or credit-bearing course after the effective date.
(iii) Successfully start and complete five (5) courses after the effective date.听听
(iv) Enroll and post attendance (as defined in the University Academic Catalog) in the 6th course within a 365-day period commencing from the first date of attendance in the eligible student鈥檚 first course after the Effective Date of the Agreement.听听
(v) Maintain attendance with the University defined as not taking a break longer than 365 days.听
For clarity, all eligible students must still meet the above criteria to receive the tuition benefit. Once an eligible student achieves the 6th course tuition waiver, the 365-day period will start again from the first date of attendance in the next course.鈥
If the eligible student does not achieve the 6th course tuition waiver within the initial 365-day period, the 365-day period will commence again from the first date of attendance in the first course after the initial 365-day period expired.鈥
The tuition waiver applies only to the 6th course regardless if the eligible student completes the course.
